choke cable
Today was one of the most frustriating days in recient memory. I bought a stereo reciever deck for my 260z and it turns out you have to remove the entire floor console to remove the radio housing. To do this you have to undo 4 screws and then disconnect the choke cable from the lever and I CANT DO IT!!! It is impossible. There is a nut holding the wire on but I can't squeeze a socket or a wrench in there to get at it- there is about 3mm from the nut to the side of the console plastic meaning my fat fingers have no chance of fitting in there. If anyone has done this before PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I have a 240Z so I might lead you astray but her is how I do it (I think it is similar). Don't disconnect the cable from the lever, remove the choke knob from the lever and remove the whole lever assembly from the console. Should be one little screw to take off the knob (be careful, this is easy to loose) and two 8mm bolts holding the assembly in. Good luck :headspin: :headspin:

Buy a cheap open face wrench and grind it down until it will fit. Just a thought.
