Changing entire Interior Color...
 

Living in Connecticut sucks when it comes to finding a Z..

I used to have a 1982 280zx T-tops red interior no rust. A mack truck cut me off and destroyed the car, I've been extensively looking for almost a year now and I can only find them with the beige/tan interior and there all auto's. So my question is, If I bought one from this guy, only has a dent in one pannel, and I'm sure I can find a new pannel ... but how expensive and difficult would it be to find a red dash (and all other Red parts for the interior, plus install a Red rug and all that. I know they sell pre made ruggs, but the dash's are harder to come buy with all the other parts and Steering ETC.

So, how expensive, how difficult.. thanks

Oh yea, and then also finding a decent 5 spd. and installing it ... how much and difficult for that? ... I'll be doing most of the install's myself so just getting/buying all those parts is the main question .. thanks

Why not increase your search area? I'll bet a plane ticket and drive back home is cheaper and less work than what you have planned. Look anywhere in the nation if you're that desperate for the exact car.

There were a lot of red interior parts on E-bay last time I checked.

thanks, well I've been looking all over the US, and nothing that's in good enough condition and cheap enough, thats the problem, i found one car in texas, but the guy wanted 8 g's for it, but it was mint with like 60,000 miles on it, so what's a poor boy to do...
