HAHA OMG why did I join this site, these questions... Jim Cook has nothing to do with CARTECH. CARTECH is the brain child of Corky Bell, geez.. CARTECH = BELL ENGINEERING GROUP INCORPORATED same thing...

hey mike you say that you have experience with the turbo right well my friend has the exhaust manifold with the turbo hooked up to it and he also has a pipe shaped like a twisted "L" with the word turbo in cursive on it what else do i need to hook it up (i want to hook it up to my stock 72 SUs

SU Carbs with a Turbo
Are you trying to run the turbo through the SU's?
The Su carb doesn't perform well with boosted air running through the Carb, But If you make a custom manifold to set the Carbs in front of the turbo (creating a draw though system, you can get better than average performance). But , If you really want good performance and you want to use a carburetor instead of F.I. There are much better carbs than the S.U. available, at affordable price. I have a 72 240, that I gave to my brother that I originally ran that type of set up, and just before I gave it to my brother, I fabricated a manifold to hold the Barry Grant Adjustaflow 4 Barrel Carb in front of a garrett T4 Turbo. Of coarse the engine is also modified, but it was Dynoed at 612 BHP at the Flywheel, and when installed, the car consistantly runs mid 9's at Las Vegas Motor Speed way. When I was making this setup originally, I wasted alot of money with trial and error. If you want to do something like this, I will be more that happy to talk you through the construction, and help you save money and avoid the mistakes I made.
