Is it a 70 or 71?

I have an early 240 with a 10/70 build date. What owners manual should I have...1970 or 1971? Thanks for any and all help.

i would have to disagree. With a build date of 10/70...everything in the car would be "Series 1" ie, E-31 head A type tranny etc. Trust me my build date is 11/70

Check your VIN, it's close enough that it could go either way, if it's a low VIN then earlier, if higher, then later... I"m not sure what the # for the 240's were, but I know a lot of early cars were held back and sent out later... hope that helps
