300zx TT or Supra TT
 

as you all saw, im tryin to obtain a turbo engine. should i go w/ the 2jz turbo motor or a 300zx tt motor? which will produce more torque at the rear wheels?

You have to think about what your goals are....how much HP do you want?

I know of someone getting 400HP~ from a stock L28ET.....and I have seen 2JZGTE's pushing 800HP+

How much power do u want?

i actually want to obtain as much hp i can w/o having it be illegal. like maybe around 500-650 horses

I don't think you can fit the 300zx twin turbo motor without A LOT of difficulty

If you want 500+ HP from wither a 2JZ or VG30, then I would go the 2JZ for sure.....

IF I HAD THE OPTION I'D GO THE TOYOTA ENGINE AS THERE IS MORE CLEARANCE ON THE SIDES OF THE ENGINE.TO DO WORK . ITS HARD ENOUGH ON THE VG30DETT IN THE Z32 ITS GONNA BE BLOODY HARD IN A EARLIER Z. A CONVERSION WAS DONE IN AUS AND WELL DOCUMENTED IN A LOCAL MAG.WITH THE TOYO
ENGINE . THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT THEY HAD TO DO CUSTOM WORK ON THE GEARBOX AS THE FORK WAS ON THE WRONG SIDE.. EXHAUST SIDE.. AND HAVING TO SPEND AUS$4000 IN A NEW REAR END AS THE GRUNT KEPT BREAKING STUFF BACK THERE
