"p" series head

hey I was wondering what "p" (p79,p90) goes with a turbo? I got some sort P series head. I was just trying to find out..also how could I crank 300hp out of a N/A there has be a way... If these four banger ricer cars can pump that much out, I should be able to do it to. Lets show these guys what REAL car can do

im running a p90a and im happy with it. Goto http://www.geocities.com/row4navy/ really helpful spot.
Neochron if you really want to go the n/a way id recommend throwing in some high comp. pistons, aggressive cam, reworking your head, and doing a little port and polishing, for starters. Dunno too much about the n/a z's

Re: "p" series head

It is possible to run higher horsepower motors on the street although somewhat pricy. One of our Z club members is running an L-28 with an N-42 head in his 280Z. He dynoed around 230 at the wheel. This is a bored and stroked 3.1 liter motor with 13:1 compression. He does drive it on the street although not all the time because of his welded diff. I belive his car runs 13's. I am also building a stroker 3.1 for my 280Z 2+2, but I am going to use the P90a head because of the hydraulic lifters and larger chambers. I will also be running a wilder cam. I recomend using the F54 block because of stronger internal design. If you want more power than that you have to go turbo, theres no other way. Another one of our club members had a turbo 240Z that dynoed around 420 at the wheel. But it was all custom and very exspensive. Have fun.
