Tranny swap

Ok, I need to figure out what I'll need to put a 5-speed into my '83zx. Obviously a manual transmission... but what else. I know nismo offers a kit to put a datsun 2000 roadster 5 speed into any z, but would that be better then just another 83 zx tranny or what?

You can use any tranny from 70-83 in your car. I have even put a 77 datsun P/U tranny in a 70 240.

You'll need the linkages, pedal, master cylinder, slave cylinder, etc. It's a pretty straight forward swap. A bit time consuming, but nothing too bad. Maybe need a different propeller shaft, I don't know if the a/t and 5 spd are different, but I had to change the length on my 510's.
