starts then stalls

Just got finished with working on the suspension. Car will start but then cuts off immediately as if starved for fuel. Fuel pickup pump and fuel filter both seem to working fine and fuel is clean and fresh. Any ideas?

Did you solve this?

I have the same problem and it's driving me crazy!

Fuel/air/spark
One of those three is missing. You seem to be confident on the fuel.
When the car is starting, the ignition switch bypasses the ballast resistor. When you let the key go back to ON/RUN the wire should be hot going to the ballast resistor. Check the voltage at the coil while someone is starting the car. The voltage should go from about 12 down to 9 when the key goes from START to ON. If the voltage drops too much, you won't have a hot enough spark.

Thanks. I am also learning that if I put a jumper wire from the hot battery post to the hot post on coil, start the car and it continues to run, then I may have a problem between the coil and the switch. I will try your suggestion first. Thanks again.

The most likely culprits are a bad ballast resistor or bad ignition switch. You can unplug the wire harness from the back of the switch and test for continuity. You can also just put the key in the ON position and see if your turn signals work. You fuel gauge would also have issues with a bad switch. The contacts you want to check are the ones where white/red wire and black/white wire connect.

As for the resistor, lift one of the wires off of the resistor and measure the resistance with an ohmmeter. If you get an open line or a large number, the resistor is bad.
