Loose E-Brake, missing some sort of retainer

Hey guys! Today was my first time parking on a hill, and lets just say she doesnt handle it too well.

Got her home and went to check the ebrake. the passenger side is nice and tight, 1/3 turn while engaged. the driver side can spin almost over a full rotation before stopping, the brakes barely seem to grab. I looked a bit more and noticed that the cable isnt being held in place on the drivers side. theres a little slot for the cable to go into, but on the driver side i seem to be missing a little piece, see attached pictures.

Driver side, cable wiggled from of the bracket - https://www.futurehax.org/owncloud/i...CeLjfV2mhXijVU

Driver side, cable put back into bracket -

Passenger side, cable stuck in the bracket as it should - https://www.futurehax.org/owncloud/i...9c8JYq1e929mIf

I seem to be missing that black flanged piece on the passenger side. Any ideas on where i could source it, or replace it with something similar?

I think the brakes still need adjustment, but without the cable being held where its supposed to be, that side is never going to be tight.

That wasn't too hard: Motorsport! Clip, Emergency Brake Cable, 70-78 240Z-260Z-280Z - The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z 260Z 280Z 280ZX 300ZX ( Z31 Z32 ) 350Z 370Z Parts

However, a word to the wise on this one. When I restored my car, I ran into some differences between an early 260Z and late 260Z with the ebrake cable. The later model's flanges are larger. As the early 260Z is more like a 240Z body and the late 260Z is more like a 1975 280Z, you might run into some differences. Call MSA and discuss if you want. Otherwise, if the clips are too small, some work with a dremel should solve the problem.

Oh awesome! I was searching for "retainer" and stuff, my googlefu failed me on that.

I grabbed a washer temporarily and slotted it with a dremel and it seems to be holding decently. Will absolutely be swapping it with the real part now that youve shown it to me. thanks!
