No start with ignition

No start with ignition
78 280z and it wont start with the key ignition. i can turn the ignition on and jump the starter selonoid and it will start. where do i start diaging this thing

forgot to mention there is no signal going to the starter selonoid and a relay clicks under the dash on the passenger side when you try to crank it

Which relay is clicking? I would start with that...

Yeah NismoPick is right you should start with the relay. That's a usual problems on older vehicles.
