Mysterious Wires

I have a 1975 Datsun 280Z. I am having problems cranking the engine via the key. There are two black wires that come from the ignition key unit I have only one clue where there they go. I believe it goes to ground but I am unsure. The Factory manual CD does not indicate these black wires. I also cannot find the Inter Lock unit. Can anyone help me???

Thanks,

Randy

The two black wires go to that annoying little warning buzzer. The buzzer has self shearing screws that shear off when it is installed. If the buzzer is missing you can plug the two wires together since they are in a dead loop. Not sure what you mean by "inter lock."

Inter lock Unit

It says in the factory manual that when the key is turned to the start position a signal goes through a black and yellow wire to the interlock unit and then to a adapter that loops the signal to the starter through various plugs and different colors of wires. this may be confusing I can refrase it if need be. I tend to be confusing at times.

Thanks,

Randy

The only thing I can think of is it must be to the neutral switch on the side of the trans.
