Idle Issue....

It seems like either my gas pedal or choke is sticking. When I start 'er up she is fine, but then after driving for a little bit and I come to a stop, the engine is idling higher than normal, when I give it a little gas (in neutral or with the clutch in) the idle level drops down to normal.

Anyone know what's going on here and if it is an easy fix I can do on my own?

This is for my '74 260.

Thanks!

Did you figure it out?

Most of the time I have this issue, it's more of a lean condition. You get the idle to stay low when cold, but when hot it wants to rise higher and higher. Sound like your problem?
Just curious to know more about it.

^^^ Not sure if what you posted is relevant to this guy's problem... his motor is carbureted, so it doesn't have the same intake manifold setup as yours.
