How fast should my 240z stop just by pulling the e-brake

I have tried stopping my 240z with the emergency brake with no success. Does the ebrake in this car only Works to lock the car when its parked?? really weird! anyone? i tried pulling hard and it does not stop.

Well how fast are you going when trying to "stop" ? Freeway exit? Rolling 1mph on your driveway?

You should feel resistance when pulling on the e-brake, but it's not meant to be the only form of braking.

Okay. I use to have a 1959 vw beetle which used drum brakes on all 4 wheels and you could stop the car when running while pulling the ebrake. Its weird i cannot do this in my 240z.

But it stops fine otherwise? Adjust your e-brake cable under neath then, its not hard.
