GM350 to 200-4R transmission swap.

I want to change out my GM 350 automitac transmission and install a new 4 speed 200-R4 into my 280Z frame, with ferrari body. Can anyone tell me if it'll fit and how far off the mounts are? I understand both are the same length but the 200 mounts are further back. Does anyone make mounts that fit? Thanks, STU

I have an old Alpha 1... Ferrari 250 GTO kit car... built on a 260Z with a fairly healthy Gen1 350 SBC. I've been researching this exact swap. I've been told that the 200-4R is a direct bolt-in replacement for the TH350... same mounts, same bolt pattern, same length, same everything. However, the cross member needs to be moved (this corrects mount position). That said, you need a really well-built 200-4R to handle 400+ HP. I'm having mine built with full manual shift and reverse-pattern valve body. I'll probably end up with a B&M Quicksilver shifter.
