few questions 4 everyone

ok ok, so i found a N42 thats looking good so far, its un touched but clean. so first off, where can you get a block off plate for the air regulator? or am i just gonna have to make my own.

SECOND: i want to go electric fan on the radiator so should i get this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=270132746975

OR

would one of these be suficient enough.... even though its a bit small http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showp...ct=4631&cat=17 (but theres 2 adds for this so he might be selling 2 so if i could gt both im sure it would even out that one huh?)

THIRD!!!! i found OEM nissan brake pads in my S30's cargo doo dads..... but the box they were in was a little moist and fallin apart ish, soooo do you think the pads are any good since i think im going to be needed a changing on them?

i think thats about it for my questions. thanks ya'll

NismoPick 06-21-2007 11:27 AM

#1... Just make your own.

#2... Get a 16" fan that will flow 2000+ cfm (usually $30 - $80)

#3... If the pads are falling apart, you prolly shouldn't use them. :D

Brake Pad Info

:111: The brake pads should still be good. Water will not destroy them, chemicals can. Check them out, if it doesn't look like they have been hit with any type chemicals, they should be all right to use. Good Luck with picking out which fan you want. Both will work, just pick out the one you like and go for it. Good Luck again, Rich.:paranoid:

bitchin, and nismo, if you know of these fans you speak of for 30-80 bucks that are 16 inches and flow 2000cfm or greater show me the way cause ill buy it. seriously... do it! lol. and how would i go about mounting them to the radiator, i think i still dont know for sure on how that works lol. and teh pads looked fine but ill double check em'

Electric fans mount w/ ziptie style fasteners:

http://i10.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/95/04/958c_1.JPG

I remember talking w/ SHADY during MSA weekend about his... those zipties can damage the radiator fins, so he fab'd mounting brackets.

snwbrderphat540 06-21-2007 12:54 PM

i think id survive if 4 out of my thousand fins goa little bent :D

and ebay? i expected better from you. lol but i will look at them and hope they are trust worthy

EDIT: so i looked at them, both seem to come with fasteners of some sort but not ziptie from what i could tell, however the one is 24 dollars and the other is 70 dollars, the 24 dollar one is just a fan thats pretty thin looking and is 2500cfm

the other fan has an electronic thermo switch on it apparently already, looks nicer, and flows 300cfm

sooo should i spend teh extra 45 or should i not?

Hey snw, I went to the junk yard and got a twin fan set up from an NX2000, for $35 w/an exchange warranty if its dead when I put it in. It has two prongs / studs in the bottom and two bolt brackets op top. Easy to fab the brackets to hold it in place. plus its quite a bit less then 4" deep. I plan to set it up so that one fan is on with a temp sensor and the other I can manually turn on when its needed, like "stuck in traffic" situations. Maybe worth a try. I would rather trust an older OEM part for quality over a new fan from ebay...

snwbrderphat540 06-22-2007 12:01 AM

junkyards in my area, RIP YOUR ASS OFF!!!! i paid (dont ask why i feel stupid) 45 dollars (after hagling) for a zx alternator when i was going to use the original 260 motor to get rid of the external regulator and that was after i gave them my original alternator.... i feel so taken advantage of. but yeah i already bought one nismo posted, so if it fails me, im makin him re-inbers me. :D

wreckedj30 06-22-2007 08:27 AM

air reg. n42. huh, un bolt it. no holes go in to the intake. unless your talking aboot the egr then its not worth buying...i got my electric fan from a j30 and 300zx. look there

NismoPick 06-22-2007 08:42 AM

Which one did you buy Snw?

snwbrderphat540 06-22-2007 06:49 PM
