Different types of headers

I was looking at my header and realized that it is not an msa header or any other one I have seen for sale any where. Then when I was in borders the other day and it showed a header that they said was from nissan performance. It has two sets of three tubes and they are staggered one collector ending about 6-8in. before the other one and had a y-tube and one side was really long to fet to the front collector. What I want to know is if there is any value in this 6-2-1 header for nostalgia's sake? I use my 260z for every day transportation and I am about to redo the whole rear-end because the diff mount has long since been sheared and I think the diff is about dead from not having enough oil in it(it leaks). Also how do I fill the diff up since it looks like the filler cap is about 1/8 in. from the rear transverse crossmember?

I have 6-2-1. If you measure the tubing they will probably be the same length.
Nismo specs are 6x42" 3/4" pipes -> 2x72" 2"1/2 (1-2-3 and 4-5-6) -> 2"1/2 through turbo type muffler. I'll double check the lengths when I get home.

use a very long clear tube to fill the diff.

If you plan to replace or remove the rear diff you can fill it sitting level on a bench before you install it, otherwise it's nearly impossible to get the drain plug out.

As for your header, anything not produced anymore is definately nastolgic but the 6-2-1 design is actually good for producing low end torque kind of like the Chevy tri-y headers

hope this helps
