Datsun 240z mechanic in So Cal

Hello everyone,

Just purchased a sweet 240z and I am new to the Z scene. I need a good knowledgeable Datsun mechanic to take a look at my purchase and perform all the needed tune ups.

The car seems to be blowing white smoke and smells like Gasoline when parked.

Can someone please point me in the right direction.

I'm located in Orange County.

Super excited to be here and looking forward to being part of the club.

Thanks

Precision Z in Canoga Park, CA is about as close as I know. But if you'd like, my old shop Perris Auto. They'd love to help you out. But I'm in the same boat you are. I'm at Camp Pendleton.

Gas smell is going to be the vapor tank or the vent lines, smoke is going to be rings or valve stem seals. To own a 240Z is to know or be willing to learn how to work on one. I do something to mine every weekend and sometimes after I get home from work. This week I've been tuning my triples, do a jet change, see how it runs the next day. Try Mike's Z shop in Whittier.

If you're willing to drive down to San Diego, there's Aero Auto Repair off the I-15 by Frye's. They have a z guy and are members of the z club of san diego. They're friendly and helpful. They recently changed their name, this is their website: http://www.zwhizz.com/ .
