cam question
 
I bought a cam for my 77 280 and have not installed it yet because I cant afford new rockers, springs, ect. My question is can I install the cam using my existing components

As long as the rockers are smooth, you'll be okay.

As long as the stock coil springs don't bind with the new cam they should be ok too I think. If you are adding a lot of lift, you might need to get new springs to match it. Also I've read that if the camshaft is a regrind, or an all new aftermarket cam with different than stock base circle on the lobes, you might need to buy lash pads to get the proper valve adjustment.
