Hey guys. I just picked up my second z, got it running after replacing the fuel pump, but it doesn't want to idle or even run at all. I checked the firing order, its g, it runs but like horse ****. I got the car without an AFM, which is apparently the most important part in this ancient efi setup. After looking around and not having any money, I went to a junkyard nearby and found out that they have about 3 Z's, all of which, without afms.. So I look two cars to the right, and find this supra, with a similar style plug, I take it, bring it home after seeing that it fit the Z's plug for the stock afm, and it fit..HOWEVER, I find out that just cause it fit doesn't mean it's gonna work, as my car still runs rich as hell. Each time I pulled the plugs out after cleaning them, they're black. Now I was wondering if it might be possible to get an afm from an early 80s maxima(the l24) and use it with my non-turbo L28 with adjustments. I have a picture of the supra afm connected to my Z.
