76 280z fuel pump replacement

So i found this cardomain page (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/206660...n-280z/page-17 which shows he used a MSD 2225 fuel pump to replace his fuel pump. I'm planning on doing the very same thing this weekend with my 76 280z, now i am just wondering if there is anything that anyone can think of that would make this not work? Want to make sure i am not wasting my time. A little background, my car is pretty well stock it has exhaust and headers but thats about it. Thanks.

The only issue you'll encounter would be on how to mount it. Other than that it will work fine. While you're at it I would recommend replacing the fuel lines back there. Also the tank outlet is 1/2" fuel line. I suffered with trying to fit 3/8" fuel line...At the auto parts store I went to they didn't have 1/2" fuel line on spools to cut like they normally do, I had searched online and found that they had it in stock when I showed the guy the part number he had to search the back until he finally found it in a box.

The problem i am having now is a problem of fitment, the line coming off the tank is to big to fit over the inlet on the pump, any suggestions?

Ok just a question is regular non braided fuel hose going to work from the pump to tank line? Also what is the width of te line that is going to the engine bay whit size hose do I need for that? Thanks I would use the search function but I'm stuck on my phone.
