1979 Fairlady 280z!!!

Attachment 17027 Attachment 17028 Attachment 17029 its a 1979 i just picked up a couple days ago, it doesnt run yet but i am working on that lol, its a true jdm fairlady 280z, i thought zx's were 79's but maybe they just call it a z in japan, when i got it it wouldnt spark and was getting no fuel, so i swapped in my other matchbox dizzy and got some super great spark, but still no fuel. i cant hear the fuel pump turn on, nor am i getting and fuel up front, so i pulled out the sending unit and found this... Attachment 17030 its all sorts of gunky and its worse in the tank, i may just drop the tank and do a fuel cell setup but that doesnt solve my problem about not getting power to my stock pump, when the key is on the main relay under the hood clicks instantly and doesnt seem to unclick, i grabbed a test light and i am not getting power to the pump, is it possible to just safely hard wire a new fuel pump and run a fuel cell in the back hatch? or does the ecu need to recognize the pump is on and the relays are working in order to fire the injectors? i wanna hurry up and drive this but patience is key, plus i still have to fix my 510 4dr Attachment 17031 |

I think they were all (240/260/280z/zx and etc.) called Fairlady Z back in JDM land iirc. It does look like a 280zx though.. how much did you snag it for if you don't mind me asking? |
i traded my 92 miata with a full 1.8 swap plus drivetrain, and got 500 on top haha, i wanna drive it so bad!!!
