Halfshaft flanges and donor parts
Greetings Z-Drivers,
I'm not your usual poster and seek you forebearance... My name is Steve Smith and I race a TRiumph GT6. It's the British car your magnificent 240Z killed. No hard feelings, the superior product won. That said, I use rear suspension bits from the Z's to build a racing suspension package that doesn't break and roll the car. I'll attach a link at the end with pics of what I do to your bits. Problem is these parts are running out for both of us. My specific question regards the halfshaft flanges in the rear suspension. To make a set of my axles I have to kill a set of your halfshafts. I hate that as the ball spline setup is pretty nice. Is there another, lesser source for those same U-joint flanges? I don't want to keep destroying your parts to keep ours alive. Seems like an easy enough part to make from billet steel on a CNC mill. What is the usage per year?

You're right. Never even considered that option. It's easy enough with my analog machines, don't know any CNC folk...Thanx

Back to this topic, I need a pair of flanges just now. Anybody have a complete halfshaft or the flanges available? Steve
