Dumb Question: What kind of fluid to put into clutch master cylinder reservoir?
Hey y'all!
So I've got some great news! After cleaning and remounting my fuel tank and hooking up a new battery, I tried to fire up the 72 240z. Sure enough, it cranked, turned over, and ran with just a few turns of the key! This is great news as I wasn't even expecting it to crank at all!:icon_super: Now for the real question. I've been looking through my FSM and all over the internet including this forum, but haven't been able to figure it out. I am replacing my clutch master cylinder so that I can actually take her for a short ride. However, I can't seem to find out what kind of fluid I am supposed to put into the CLUTCH master cylinder. The people at Autozone and a few other places said dot 3 or 4 brake fluid, but that just sounds kinda weird. I wanted to double check before I did something I later regretted. The model is 1972 240z L24 straight six engine, if it makes a difference. Please let it be noted that I HAVE DONE MY RESEARCH and just want to double check with yall. Thanks! |
