Driveshaft Dust Guard
Taking a bit of a circuitous route to fix the drivershaft U joints. The old drivershaft is on the right, and has a dust guard of sorts. The new driveshaft is at left, and does not have said dust guard.

I'm kind of hoping that I don't need it, but that may be wishful thinking. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers. |
Could you circle what you are calling a dust guard?
|
Sure:
http://scontent-b-ord.cdninstagram.c...02340747_n.jpg It's the sort of collar looking thing. At the top of the area I boxed, there is a circular fastener, and another one like it on the opposite side. I'm sure I can grind these fasteners out, but then I'm unsure how it would attach this collar / dust guard to the new drivershaft... or if it's even necessary at all. Cheers! |

Awesome, thats what I was hoping to hear. I was surprised how difficult the driveshaft bolts were to remove.
Cheers, thanks. |
