i just purchased a 71 240Z and would like to swap out the black steel wheels for something nicer. it has 14" wheels now but i don't mind going to a 15". apparently the bolt pattern is 4-4.5. any suggestions on who makes wheels to fit the car?

motorsport auto has a lot of nice wheels but they are a little pricey, their site is www.zcarparts.com
I think that a lot of cheap ricer wheels will fit also but you run the chance of having them bend fairly easily if you hit somthing. my recomendation is to get them from motorsport auto or some other high-quality wheels( you probally don't want to spend less than $100 each for quality ones.
