today i fought with my quarter window in my 77 280. and for today the window won the battle. couldnt figure out how to install it in the frame with the rubber molding. i cleaned the molding with tirewet to get it more plyable. got it installed and couldnt see how to put the glass in, removed the rubber molding installed glass into it.. couldnt see how it would fit in the chrome frame at that point.. so im stuck.. does one have to seperate all the chrome frame and then clamp it all back together? if theres a trick to installing this id love to learn..

 

In the body section of the manual for your car there is an exploded view of the window, should be able to follow that to get it all back together

 

The metal frame does come apart in a couple of places and slides back into place. Some sort of lube on the rubber always helps.
