it is not an air flow meter.. It is a Mass Air Flow sensor. any unit from any z31 will work try the junk yards. highly unlikely you got a bad one they are very simple devices I think you are doing by guess or by god parts changing in the unlikely event that you get the right thing rather than doing some troubleshooting to find out what is really wrong. There is a very specific test for the maf in the fsm only requires a VOM and some intelligence to implement. (only caveat you must be smarter than the maf). Or because you have no clue what it is you have did you by mistake actually buy an Air Flow meter such as found on an S130 and trying to make it work.
download the fuel injection bible. written for s30/s130 but you might at least understand what the system components are and how they work to make the engine run providing you read it and comprehend what you read.
