WTB 280zx Manual Climate Control heater core valve
I need this thing:
I just need the assembly with the Valve. It's leaking really bad. It's not the hoses either as the hoses are dry. The back of the valve is poop or something.

If nobody here can spare theirs, check out car-part.com. I saw a couple of lots around the country there last week that have 280Z heater/AC parts. Depends on the exact model. Would be great if you can locate a junker parting-out stuff too. Last resort is to take the assembly out and repair it.

Braket legs
when you take it apart, there are 4 legs that go thru a bracket and bend over, you need to unbend them to take apart, be mindful, you need to re-bend them again, so be as careful with them as you can.

Hey, mine actually looks nothing like that...
I took apart the heater control valve, the part that leaks is a plastic plunger in a brass tube that's crimped to the main bracket for the control. Inside the plastic plunger is a shaft that has an O ring, it can leak at the O ring, or where the plastic plunger housing presses into the brass tube. You can partially disassemble the plunger to get to the O ring, the rings seat was dirty and gritty, but the little O ring seemed in good shape. After cleaning it and putting it back together, I used JB Weld around the edge where the plastic and brass seat/seal together, and most likely place to leak. I reassembled it all and it works great and does not leak.
