Crazy Mazdaspeed 3 guys LOL

Then again, I'm happier driving my 180hp turbo Z than a Mazda wagon with any amount of hp.
I wouldn't even settle for a G35 even though a small back seat would be convenient at times. I'll just stick to getting a real Z.

but, after the launch, the 11hp isn't enough maintain a lead for a 1/4mi to overcome the extra 400lbs. they say for every 100lbs it's worth 10hp in a 1/4... if that's the case, the M3 has a 30hp advantage.

I'll take the 30HP disadvantage and AWD. My Z only puts down 251 whp, but I have no problems spinning in second. I'd imagine the same HP in a fwd car will probably spin through third. You're not going to have any spinning in the MS6.

regardless of your preference... the M3 is no slouch and would catch a Z with it's pants down if the Z driver doesn't pay attention.
FWD isn't as bad as people make it out to be:
Autocross results
a fwd street car beat out the fastest rwd street car. Two FWD cars (8th and 10th) beat out plenty of much faster (in a straight line) cars. One of the FWD cars is on DOT street tires.
Nellis autocross
hell, I had the fastest vehicle with fenders, with 2seconds between me and 6th.
my point is... if properly set up, a FWD can be very potent. never underestimate.
