and you should know by lets see, when you asked a couple days ago we told you he wasnt a mod, then his name turned red today? maybe last night? i think today and thats the sign of a mod. sooooo.... i think thats how you are supposed to know, the same way i did. lol.
now for SERIOUS business... i want my 10.7k posts back. lol. i earned them over 3 long years......

but seriously, if they had picked me, i would have figured it was cause it was a limited power "dirty work" job that no one else wanted to do. there are plenty of people that have been here longer than me

who all voted? and granted powers? i figured it wouldnt be possible since its bleach and LWW and the occaisonal entropy pop in. lol. i figured there wasnt enough mod power around to get some new ones....

I'm a supermod over on another forum with 35,000+ members and would be more than happy to help out here if need be. I have the open time to be able to log on more often as I currently am unemployed and have nothing but class to deal with. Hell, yesterday there was a transition with the way that chat threads were handled on the other forum that prompted me to create a thread to answer any questions or respond to concerns that members would have. This thread alone took up over 8 hours of my time yesterday.
Just a heads up, if any of the admins/supermods would like a little more help around here then feel free to hit me up.. I'd love to help out a z forum rather than a civic forum where the average age of users has dropped to... oh, idk.. 15?

I have been given "a lil bit" more power now. In my other thread ( https://www.zdriver.com/forums/site-feedback-suggestions-226/adjusting-some-things-forum-27015/ ) I gave an update advising that I have blocked the main spammers email domains. I'm sure there are more, but the 50 or so we would get every day came from "spambox.us"

Out of curiosity, did y'all inadvertently ban any email account from Gmail? I know someone that just came over here to sign up because she's thinking about buying an s30 as a project car and when she went to activate her account it said that she had been banned.

From my recent post on the front page:
I didn't block gmail.com, but it looks like one of the other email domains is close enough that it's blocking it as well. I just gotta find what one that is.
Yahoo is still a valid email.

Yeah... as soon as I made that change, about 20 spammers signed up from gmail.com
So now I've put in place a "member validation". Users will have to be validated by an Admin before posting.
