That's a great idea!!!

Being a team player and all... I'll go ahead and allow my car to be the first "Car of the month" as a guinnea pig

Rod.

Ok,

We need rules then..

- How many pictures?
- what defines best Z?
- Judges or vote?

candidates should write up the history on their Z, pick out say.... no more than 10 of their best pictures(int, ext, and engine shots req'd), and submit everything to a ZOM thread for users to vote on. the winner then will get their fav pic on the home screen, and then a link to their info/pics page in a ZOM forum. blah blah blah...suggestions

how about my Z!!!!!, o damn, i sold it

Zdriver.com used to have car of the month way back in the good ol days...

my Z was a previous ZOM

how about people post pics and info in the Zgarage! on the site, and admins vote or choose one each month

That sounds like the best way to go. Either that or you just have people submit pics and a backstory, etc. Then just choose 12 cars from the entries and you're good for a year.

Another good rule, IMO, would be to implement a time frame that a ZOM winner must wait before they are eligible to win again.

No duplicate winners for at least a year, that wouldn't be really fair.

I gotta question: What if it were the same person, but with a different car? Say someone owned a 300ZX and a 280zx. If the 300ZX won one month would they have to wait a year to enter the 280zx? Or would the waiting period apply only to the car that won and not the actual member?

Just a hypothetical situation, but you never know

I think if you have multiple Z's in good enough condition to actually be showcased as ZOM, then why not have both in the same year, if the admins choose to do so. There are going to be a lot more than 24 Z's in good enough condition so chances are if you do get both cars up in the same calendar year that there will be plenty of other cars to pick in the next few years.

Can't reply to the thread either. Guess I won't be submitting any of my Z's in that case. Had planned on this one.

only moderators, admins, and site supporters can reply to a "Zdriver Announcements" thread.. right?

I think we need to put that thread in a different location.

Are you going to separate stock restorations from modified, like they do at car shows, so we can compare apples to apples or Z's to Z's?

cars to cars, we all have our own flavor so we'll narrow it down and get things rolling.
