???How do you feel about your car???

After being able to drive my car for some miles lately, I got to thinking about how much I'm lovin it when I CAN drive it.
Downtime sucks.
So i'm wondering what everyone loves so much about their car.

I'm allowing multiple choices cuz i had a hard time just choosing one.

i had to got with all of the above except the last choice. everyday theres one or the other of the choices. the looks from the people who gets in awe( best when ricere honda boys do it), the feel of the z when driving it, and just hanging out with others who respect the car. to me, its just like the people who love the car can be on the same level of thinking when it comes down to the z no matter what profesion or back ground the come from. not only owning the car that can make you feel good, but the car also brings people together.

I had to go w/ all of em except for the Power....my car sorta lacks that off the line. Some days its like everyone is looking and complimenting my car, the next day everyone is laughing and talking **** about my car (AT NA).....so I dont know, kinda a little bit of both worlds.

This was a really tough one to answer. I went with "the Looks", but I could just have easily gone with any of the others except the last one. The fact is, it's a combination of all of these things that makes us love our Z cars. Some day's, it's all about the looks, other day's... when random people stop you on the street and start up a Z car conversation, it's all about the respect and the community. Some day's, when you smoke that riced out honda civic and the sideways baseball cap wearing punk at the wheel... it's all about the power. Every day brings a different reason to love your Z and they are all powerful.

Rod.

I went with fun, but most of it is from memory. I can't really remember anymore since it's been so long.

It's actually more of a combination of all of those. It's fun to feel that much power and be able to embarrass people in other cars so easily. It's fun to see peoples reaactions when you drive by. It's kinda all of the above. From what I remember.

I love my Z. I had a 1967 Firebird that I droped a edelbrock 350 into with 325 HP. and there is no comparsion between the two. In the mornings I can't wait to step into my z for the drive to school. I wish I had the money for some TIEN struts.

Why do you keep saying your friend drives an R-32 when he doesn't? It's just a S-14 conversion. I recall there was a thread where we discussed the rice factor of that.

I can't go a day while driving my old POS Z around and not get a compliment. It's going to be hard to get around when it actually looks good on the outside.

driving is by far my favorite thing. and of course killing the ricers around here. not too many people around here care for my car cause it's not riced out. also, i'm the only Z enthusiast in town other than a few older people. (mid-40s to 50s)

in the end though i love making people's jaw drop when i lay into it haha

All the above except the last one. Ever notice when you make a left turn at a light and the persons head, stopped at the light, follows your car? You know they are thinking - wow - nice, wish it was mine, or they are thinking about when they had one of their own, or they are just remembering how a guy with a z stole their girl friend?

Shameless plug.. hahaha

Not big on the looks of the 50th. But, it is nice.
It would be nice to see more ladies drive the older Z's.
But, they are old, and require some work now and then.

I am averaging a compliment a day on my Z. I don't even get it. I have paint falling off, and a dent on the front headlight that pushes back into the fender. But, I still have people telling me it's nice just about every time I get gas. It's nice to hear it. Just makes me wonder what they will say when I get some work done on it.
Under the hood first. Make it fast, then make it look fast.

Yeah, its amazing how much attention the old Zs get. An example is last Spring when I had both garage doors replaced. The new doors were installed on different days by two different guys- one was around 50 and the other one probably late 20s. Anyway both of them complimented my old, scratched-up 240Z repeatedly.....yet neither one even mentioned the 350Z or the Ducati!

I get the same thing with my motorcycle.
People see the Ducs, and other sport bikes daily. But, an older naked bike really stands out.
I love the older cars and motorcycles. Always will. It's been a while since I have owned something younger than me, and I like it.

i got some weird looks when i was towing the R1 with a turbo 240z once, but i cant decide who gets more attention, the z or the bike, but who cares, both are an absolute blast to drive/ride they look awesome and i will never regret buying or owning either.
