Thanks wildman. Video just doesnt do the car justice. I need to find a camera with good audio cuz my point and shoot digi cam just doesnt cut it. The car is so damn loud it distorts any audio. Sounds funky. Im going to take a wav recording this afternoon just for the hell of it. Should be very high quality and give ya an idea of the way she sounds.
No problem man. Seeing all these muscle cars. And hearing about them. Is changing my mind on my Firebird. I think I am going to sell off my toys. So I don't have to sell my muscle car. So I am going to look around. And see what different stuff is going for. And go from there.

Anyway keep up the good work. Looking forward to more updates. And scoops rock!!

I'll be heading out later this afternoon to mount the 2 front tires and wheels. Mocked up the tires earlier and it just makes me even more frustrated that i wont have all 4 wheels here till march. The car is just begging to light'm up. . . .

Yeah, I wouldn't go cutting and putting the butterfly scoop on it, unless you have a blower on it or something. I love old Mopars, though. I'm definitely a fan.

440 source parts came today. Just a few simple things. Belts, magnetic drain plug, alternator bracket kit and a new billet dipstick. Nothing too exciting. The box i look forward to seeing is the one with the stroker kit in it. That should be fun.

THE REAR WHEELS CAME FINALLY!!! I'll have to roll the rear fenders a little but no biggie

Nothing like a little lip to make you smile. . .

If you look very closely you can notice the small differences in the rear wheel/tire combo compared to stock . . . . like the white lettering. . .

nice work apollo, you just need to get a nascar style exhaust tip to make it right. flat and long. could always make some. is it getting a coat of paint to match the new shoes?

Umm..dude..do you know what a blower is? lol That thing on the engine in the pic is a blower with butterfly valves. A scoop is just a fiberglass piece that goes through the hood in the middle. I have a scoop on my Firebird. It is called a "shaker scoop"

Did your 4 inch drop blocks arrive yet?

slam it!

oh, and +1 on this being a scoop and not a blower. I don't see the belt drive anywhere... it even says "Scoop Away" on the box right behind it!

This just in, the scoop on this carb... not a blower.

i know exactly what im talking about, blower is the name given to a roots type supercharger back in the day because instead of compressing the air then sending it through the system like a compressor wheel in a turbo does it just blows the air through like an air tight fan causing a pressure rise in the manifold.

Relax fellas. No need to make snw upset and cry more than he already has this week.
There is no blower on this car. Just a Mr. Gasket Butterfly scoop. N/A engine all the way. With an estimated 400hp 450tq this motor should be more than enough fun for now. Although once those ponies become old and boring the next in line for it is the 500ci stroker kit and stealth heads
