Thanks guys. The motor should be in there within a week. Got most of the engine bay painted now. Still have some touch ups to do, but with it mostly done the block is next in line. I havent touched the project for a bit now but since the holiday has come and gone im ready to jump back on it. And no Shady, its not my job but i am definitely making a some bread for my time.

I should be picking up a few things this weekend to finish her off. The last elements to the exhaust, a radiator, some wheels and tires and a front end for the next project on the burner . . .

ooooo very clean! much improvement, cant wait to see the finished up clean block, i may not like old V8's (unless in a great classic muscle car such as this) but i do think they can make an amazing looking engine bay. so many pulley setups out there and other ways to clean up the engine then freshen up the paint and BAM sexy. also is your bro paying you at all for this work? if so..... maybe enough to get a z? or at least a Z project

Thanks, snow. I like the clean look too. Im not really getting paid very much, if at all, but the man is definately taking care of me for my time. And its funny you mention getting another Z. VERY long story short, the kid who bought my Z took the turbo block out and left the rest of the car as is and its now in storage. Is he willing to sell it back? I dont know.. . . I might get the Z back in that very state as a completion bonus for the Charger. Im not holding my breath

And now for some more progress . . .

I wonder if it really is a 440 . . .how ever could i tell?

Jegs came today. I looooooovvvveee getting parts in the mail. Good times. Just waiting on one more item. Should ship out next week cuz its back ordered but its the icing on the cake. Mildon windage tray and srcaper, aluminum water pump, aluminum housing, water neck and thermostat, flexalite fan, Dynomax 3" glasspacks . . .did i forget anything? Probably.
On a side note- The car gods must want me to finish this snap quick because its borderline hot today. Almost uncomfortable in pants and a shirt. Hooray for global climate change!!!

Test fit the motor tonight and ran in to the first issue. The damn headers. Anyone ever have fitment issues with headers in a charger? The header tube from cylinder #1 is making contact on the power steering unit as well as #3. Is there a better way to install the headers? Ive been trying with the motor slightly elevated off the mounts, headers shimmied in to place and bolted down tight the tranny completely free. I know, i know . . .K frame out of the car and all but i dont have a lift. Any ideas?

SHES ALIVE!!!! After a whole bunch of swearing, beer, bloodied knuckles and quite a few trips to the local performance supplier the Charger runs!!! I ended up having to go with a set of hedman's. The first cylinders on both heads have the tube run up and over whereas the original set i had did not. Hence the clearance issues. Oh well.
Durring my trips to Vic Hubbords, our local performance spot, picked up an MSD Streetfire digital ignition, some Lokar carb hardware and some heat sheilding for the spark plug wires. The car will head to out to have the exhaust system welded tomorrow and the driveshaft heads out to be shortened. Fun stuff. More pics to come later and maybe some video if i can find a program to view or edit AVSHD or MTS files

still not a fan of the scoop.... its just a little TO MUCH. should leave it as stock as possible looking its worth more that way. plus you gotta cut a hole in the hood. yuck!

Then i guess its a good thing the pink aint in your name because its getting a big fat Mr Gasket scoop and a hole in the hood to match anyways!!!

Thanks wildman. Video just doesnt do the car justice. I need to find a camera with good audio cuz my point and shoot digi cam just doesnt cut it. The car is so damn loud it distorts any audio. Sounds funky. Im going to take a wav recording this afternoon just for the hell of it. Should be very high quality and give ya an idea of the way she sounds.
