200sx... should i buy and swap?

Like posted, i am looking at a 1982 200sx for 500 dollars.

http://tulsa.craigslist.org/cto/1407635360.html

Has a z engine in it, probably drop in my l28et till i can order an sr20det.

My predicament is, i love drifting, and i love going fast. But with my 280zx rb20det i cant have both, with that one i just go fast. Cause its too damn heavy to preform any drifts that one would enjoy.

200sx, small hatch, not sure on weight, but the sr20det is light enough, i'm not aiming for a cockload of cylinders to fire on and friggin zoom around on like a **** (not all the time anyway).

Thoughts?

Not going to save up for a datsun under the age of 24

Disregard the automatic and the messed with part. I never look at a car as it is in that current moment. I look at it how it could be with a (lot)little effort

so you have an L28et in the garage, RB20DET in your Z and you want to buy a 200SX?

You can drift the 280ZX, its not too heavy. If you can drift a 3300 lb 350Z then you can drift a 2900lb 280ZX. You need LSD rear, and a good amount of torque with the right suspension setup.

Any idea on LSD? As long as i have it up and am working on it may as well give me something to do. Tokicos on the way, front and rear strut bars on the way as well.

self teaching is the only way to get used to your car. cars arent universal, they wont handle the same way :3

there are a bunch of empty lots around here, would love to have at it

Have $900 ready for the LSD. They are rare and expensive so when one comes up for sale you need to buy it right away or it'll be a while before another one comes around.

1987-89 300ZX turbo has the R200 lsd you're looking for.
