Tom Holt trying to get some free tires at National Tour ?
Looks like Tom ran in E Mod , so he could get himself some free tires
He came in second at the Houston tour this past weekend . His second day
time was almost fast enought to be the triple rotor Sprite E Mod car.

Ha! You saw through my brilliant plan! I thought I could just waltz into EM and and ****** the win away from the 3 time national champ and a few other nationally competitive guys! I didn't have THAT much beer... close, but not quite!
Since no one else registered in FP we figured we would have more fun in EM and someone would at least win some tires! I also figured if it rained I might be the lucky one! Wet, anything was possible, but in the dry, anything better than last was going to be good! Well... the plan almost worked, but the rain came about 15 minutes too late! Scott McQueen ran first in the class on a dry course and I ran last on a pretty much wet course. It only got wetter from there, but never really wet enough to justfy rain tires and even if it had, I couldn't have come close to McQueens dry time. I was in 3rd on my first run but about 5 seconds off 1st.
Day 2 was beautiful and sunny all day, I screwed up my first two runs but managed a good final run that was only a few tenths off of the fastest times in the class. Not bad for a car that had 100+ fewer HP and 600 lbs overweight for the class! The asphalt at this site can definitely limit the amount of power you can use, so if this had been the concrete of Topeka, I would have been KILLED! The EM guys were a great bunch to run with and I will do it again if FP keeps staying home!
