power steering belt replacement on NA

I had the same problem with mine except the fact the belt was fine just it slipped of the power steering pulley. Nissan didn't make it easy at all do to it, theres a couple of bolts on the front of the engine and getting anything in there including your hand isn't a fun time, but there should be some brackets that have bolts you can loosen an then they slide. If your unfamliar with the engine like i was at the time, it can be hard to find it but itll be the bracket on the far left side of the engine. It came down to a lot of fiddleyling around but it took me longer than i expected, but it was cause i was unexperianced with the engine, so just gotta kinda keep working on it and not get frustrated. That's what i did, and got it done in around an hour. If i had known, i would have estimated about a half hour.

Hey Orange and Rizz, as it turned out, that's exactly what happened to me. The belt was still there when I got underneath to look at it. Looking from the top down, I just saw the empty PS pulley and just figured that it broke. It took me a good hour to get it done which included the time to loosen up/break free the bolts. I actually loosened 4, the adjuster, the slider and the two pivots and was finally able to to get the belt back on. I don't think the belt is as tight as it should be so I'll monitor that situation. For those preparing for the job, you'll want 12mm wrenches and sockets. Thanks for the advice

Im like the belt expert now.
Two bolts 14 mm on top. Move pulley to put a socket through.
12mm adjusting. And then its done. Takes like 15 minutes tops.
