J-spec JDM vs Altezza tail lights

Other than price, is there a difference between the $320 a pair J-spec JDM tail lights on websites like Concept z performance & the far less expensive Spec-d Tuning tail lights found on Andy's Autosport, or for that matter, the $120 a pair found on E-bay?
Willing to pay for quality, but don't want to throw extra dough down for the same thing....
Does anybody have any comparison stories?
thnx in advance...

http://www.specdtuning.com/lt-300z90rled-apc.html ?

The JDM taillights have pinstripes going across the lengths of them, those don't look like they do. Also says they're up to par with or exceeding OEM standards so I can't really see you going wrong with them.

No offense Rube , but your response doesn't answer my question. I too can see "pinstripes in the picture (on the J-spec jdm's) . Almost all aftermarket tail lights are JDM (Japaneze Domestic Market) (( made in Japan))
i best rephrase ...
does anyone on this board have 1st hand comparison's with the following brands of tail lights:
1) J-spec jdm ($320 pair)
2) Spec - d ($180 pair)
3) Altezza ($120 pair)

even better if you have knowledge of the red/clear combo over the red/smoke.
Again , thnx in advance...

Well, that's basically what I was pointing out: probably the only difference here is the fact that there are pin stripes. If the company is claiming their lights meet or exceed OEM standards, then I'd say you're good to go. Sure, there can be varying qualities even up in the highest of highest qualities, but they're tail lights. My 20 year old OEM lights still work (original bulbs), I would expect both the J-Spec and Spec-D to last as long. I didn't look into Altezza.

Rupe. that helps. I'll explain my concerns - i have a customized truck that I have 4 sets of different aftermarket tail lights for (including the originals). 1 pair gets condensation inside, & they weren't the cheapest of the lot. your opinion is valued & apriciated, but i was hoping for feedback from "1st hand knowledge".
I've had my 91' 2+2 for almost 14 years & haven't even had to change a bulb either (tail light, that is).
As I have just dropped $10k into rims - tires, interior, suspension & major tune up, I've decided to redo the lighting & front bumper.
by the way - here is some extravagance: (pricing)

I got the Altezza and I like them. Granted, I'm considering blacking out all the light panels so it wouldn't really matter what type they started out as but they do look pretty good the way they come. I'll try and get some pictures if I get around to it in the next few days.

i can help

so basically if you're going for an oem style look go with the jspecs. i prefer them for two reasons 1) they look a lot better 2)you're guaranteed a great part.
id suggest going with the jspecs. but hey if you're on a budget then id go with the ebay ones.
here are the ebay ones

they arent bad

JDM = Japan Domestic Market

J-Spec = Japan Spec

so it should be the same thing.
