Warm restart issue

Im hoping someone may have a bit of advice. My car starts and runs excellent, however when I shut it down and restart it will sometimes run at a very rough and low idle. I need to hold the gas to the floor to keep it running, and it eventually raises idle and sort of clears its throat! Once it clears up it runs perfectly again..
Does anyone know of a similar situation and if so what was your fix?
Thanks in advance!

Step 1: Pull ecu codes. Address any issues.
Step 2: Check fuel pressure.
Step 3: Check CHTS and MAF.

sounds like a leaking injector is allowing unburnt fuel to gather in the intake manifold. when you hold the accelerator pedal down you are allowing enough air into the engine to overcome the amount of unburned fuel in there. fuel flow to the engine is governed by the maf.
