Been thinking of buying an '84 z31 with VG30ET, 5speed.. White with red cloth interior, about 105k miles (170k kms here in Canada).. If I buy the car I'll have a budget of 3-4k to do timing belt/water pump and belts, tune-up, and maybe some suspension work and whatever else..

That being said I'd like to know what parts I need to get up around 300hp.. What would you kind people recommend for a modest dd build? I understand what I need to make it work and can work on the car myself, I'd just like to know how you guys would do it from the very beginning..

I've heard running an intercooler is a bit tricky, and that coilovers need to be welded to the knuckle? Maybe an intercooler in uneccessary? I just don't have much experience with turbos but I'm not an idiot or new to modding, I'd like some dough left over for the interior and a nice set of wheels as well. Should I get the turbo rebuilt or get one new? That sort of stuff, anyway give me your two cents, it's much appreciated.

Would really like some opinions here, like I said you don't have to break everything down just let me know what I should replace right away.. I could do this by myself but some input from dedicated owners would really help out
