Strange No Start Problem
Hi all,
I obtained a non running z and after some tinkering was able to get it to run and drive by swapping the 1 and 3 plug wires on the distributor and the 2 and 6 plug wires. I understand most of are reading this and shaking your heads but the fact of the matter is that it worked. It does not run when wired correctly. I'm stumped as to whats going on here. It is the correct distributor cap and brand new. Car is 1985 120,000 mi, N/A V6, all stock

The PO must have screwed up the firing order or slapped the car back together to make the sale. I can see someone assuming #1 cylinder is the front one on the drivers side, but I can't see how they came up with the swaps you uncovered.
