Rear turn signal sockets

Rear turn signal sockets
This might be a stupid question, but I'm not the best at electrical and I'm finding conflicting info on parts websites.
Can someone look at their 86 and confirm that the rear turn signal lamp sockets are indeed only 2 wires? Mine is an early 86 2+2 if that matters as well.
Mine have only 2 and I've found half of parts website say they are 2 and half are 3. This is a used car, so I can't fully trust it wasn't modified.
I'm guessing they might also just sell it as 3 due to the generic part fitting it where you don't use the 3rd wire. You only use a 3rd wire to support multiple functions right??? There is only one function for the turn signal, though hazards could be another function I guess?

turn signal two wire. stop/tail three wire. just look at the bulbs and the socket you can tell what is needed.

I have looked and that's what I see on mine, 2 wires. The problem is some places to buy, have 3 wires. And the manual states bulb 1157, which from what I've found has 2 terminals/prongs/pins on the base. The 3 wire sockets have 2 as well. If you look for "1157 bulb socket" online you find a bunch of 3 wire sockets.
Can't seem to find much info on how it all works, or at least anything that actually makes sense.

Your problem is that you know so little about electrical systems that you get bogged down by reading ads. Either get Electricity for dummies or cease working on anything electrical on your car before you F*** it up so bad you need to scrap the car. to make it real simple you need two wires to conduct electricity one in one out. In a car system the frame and body are used as the second conductor (called the ground or earthing if you are a Limey).

It would be helpful to actually help people instead of assume and attack. Never screwed up electrical for anything thus far, I ask questions when I don't know the answer, that's I think what these forums are for right? Amazing.

I told you all you needed to know the first time but your abysmal lack of knowledge of electrical circuits hampers your ability to do anything constructive.

I was able to confirm elsewhere, it is 2 wires for the turn signal. The manual is wrong, the parts stores are wrong. I ordered a new socket and we will see. I also called Nissan and they weren't even able to confirm and didn't have the spare parts to look at them, but I was able to confirm with someone who knows about these cars.
@rogerz you didn't notice my original post that I said I could not look at the socket and bulb because it was fused together, plus it was a used car and didn't know if someone rewired it somehow since it conflicted with the manual and parts stores. Your assumptions were wrong and missed the original question. As we can see now, attacking someone doesn't get to an answer or clear communication.
