...a new one from Germany with a 88 300zx

Hello,

my name is Lars, iīm living in Germany. At First, sorry for my Bad english. Weeks ago, i bought a 88 300zx Turbo (203PS), now i have technical questions:

- I have changed the manual transmission, itīs ok, the clutch doesnīt work, now i changed the Slave/Master Cylinder, the clutch too. The Pedal is on the ground. Thereīs no air in the system, Andy ideas?

- oil-pressure: the red lamp in the instrument is working, the gauge in on "0", have both the same oil sending unit? Sending Unit at the Oil-Filter? what is the fail?

I Hope you can Read this ;-)
Best regards
Lars

you didn't properly bleed the hydraulics on the clutch circuit. open the first bleeder you come to after the master cylinder. if you have a friend that can watch what happens when you push in the clutch have him close the bleeder when he gets fluid. Push the clutch pedal in with your arm as you have to pull it up. be sure the reservoir on the firewall doesn't run out of fluid or you have to start all over again. Use brake fluid in the system not ATF. once you get fluid then open the bleeder on the slave cylinder itself. I think those 88 have the useless damper installed between the master and slave. the better fix is to get a front brake hose from a 280zx and install that and throw the damper in the trash which is were it belongs. if by yourself use a hose and drop the end into a container of fluid so the system doesn't suck air in. pump the clutch pedal vigorously to get the air out.

oil pressure senders in nissan z31 (what you have) are notorious for being faulty. a z32 is a 300zx made from 90 to 96. when you get parts be sure to specify the year.

the z31 was made from 84 to 89 but also called 300zx
