How to install aftermarket radio in Nissan 300Zx

I have a Nissan 300zx z31 and i want to put a JBL MR-140 AM/FM/CD Receiver JBLMR145 in it. The person before decided they were going to cut the DIN connector off. Is there a connector i can get that will connect to the JBL MR-140 AM/FM/CD Receiver JBLMR145 that i can splice to the old wires.

The DIN connector goes to the original amp under the passenger seat. By today's standards, it's worthless. Use the amp built into your head unit.

I think ZBum was saying to bypass the Nissan amp.
Splice your stereo's wiring into the constant power, ground, and ignition power in the dash.
Then run speaker wires directly from the head unit to all four speakers in the Z. This means running the wires behind the dash and into the doors as well as under the carpet towards the rear speakers.
fun!

Are you missing any of the wiring that comes out of the back?

If the wiring harness coming out of the deck plugs in then you may be able to order a new plug from JBL's website. (might be costly)
Sometimes a cheap unit from eBay is the same price or cheaper....

Get a adapter bracket for the stereo, Crutchfields has them, I used Polk Audio db6501 6-1/2" Component System speakers, so any that size will fit, I pulled the seats, center console, carpet and a few plastic trim pieces, then its all easy to get to, if youre not using the old amp under the seat, I'm guessing it can be deleted. The hardest part of my install was running door speaker wires, getting them through the rubber accordion grommet between door and body. I ended up taping the speaker wire to a coat hanger and bent it in a curve and fished it through. I really took my time, I had it apart for about 3 days, but it was baking hot out and I wasnt in a hurry.

I didnt pull my dash, so I installed my tweeters on the outside, and I got the idea for the sub box off e-bay, if you make it to fit, I used 3/4 inch mdf, it works out to be the perfect size for a 10 inch sealed sub( not vented), I need to recover mine in a color a little closer to stock and maybe get a grill cover of some kind, the stock stereo sounded terrible, now my system ROCKS !!!

Why a marine unit, and beware, 4 x 45 watts is a meaningless number.... advertising with no facts, that unit has had quality issues and JBL customer service isn't the greatest, so plan on junking it if it breaks, and if your buying used... well good luck on that .

Im looking for a black ac/heater control cover to make it look more stock / blend a bit.
