Fuel injector fix/swap

Hi all, I'm new here. I bought my first z car not too long ago and have gradually been fixing it up but now I've kinda hit a block and need some help. I recently replaced my fuel pressure regulator due to a fuel leak, but now my #1 fuel injector is leaking pretty badly. It's at a steady drip with a very strong fuel smell in the cabin. I've been looking online for replacements, but I figured I'd like to do all at once instead of just one since the others could go out soon. I can only find turbo injectors for '86s and those are rated at a higher cc level (260 as opposed to 180 for na) and I was wondering if using those would make a huge amount of difference or even work with my ecu being programmed for the stock na injectors at 180cc. Thanks

Are you selecting the non-turbo engine when searching? I can find n/a injectors on all the major car part websites. And no, you can't use the turbo injectors on a stock n/a efi/ecu.

I was on eBay when I was looking cause I'm really not trying to spend a whole bunch. I'm in college, and books are coming up so I'm a bit tight. But eBay does a crap job with their filters cause all that were coming up were turbo when I requested NA in my search and z32 when I specifically said z31

Also check out car-part.com for recycled parts. They are OEM but used a bit, depending on the mileage of the corpse. Cheaper than aftermarket, def. Sort your search results by distance from your zip. Maybe you can drive to the recycler and select the parts you need by hand.

Also Nissan had a major safety recall for Z31 fuel injection and refit the whole setup for freebies. (All injectors replaced with new OEM!) Take your VIN to a local Nissan dealer and find out if that work was ever done on your Z. They're supposed to keep records for that.

If not done (or no record available...) you can probably get it done now for free. Dealer may try to weasel out of it (bcuz he knows he won't get paid much/enough these days by Nissan Corp) but I think he doesn't have a choice if you press your case. Holy Mother Nissan rules there. A recall is a recall, doesn't really expire bcuz it's all about YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY, dude!
