Does this slave cynlider look full depressed?

Hi guys,

A few days ago on the highway the car decided not to engage the clutch anymore, even though the shifter and clutch felt fine. The odd part was that i never heard or felt anything, nor had the symptoms of a worn out clutch. Just boom, no engagement.

I checked the slave cylinder and i notice it still moves when using the clutch pedal. However, i noticed it doesn't extend as much as it should. Here are two pictures of the clutch pushed in all the way and one without the clutch pressed in.

No clutch pressure:

I was curious if this looks like the slave cylinder isn't getting enough pressure. I changed this part less than a year ago, along with the 280ZX brake hose it's connected too. I did not change the master slave cylinder. I'm going to go ahead and change both before dropping the tranny.

only two cylinders and some lines and hoses. Not too hard to figure which one isn't working. when you replaced the slave why did you not replace the master? one bad and you think the other isn't.

Because i was and still am a broke college student.

Honestly though, i cleaned it up and it seemed just fine, there was no indication at the time that there was any pressure loss or anything.

Either way, it was a bad decision on my part on not changing it along with the slave cylinder.

Not going with Autozone parts this time...

Thanks for your help...

Yes, i knew this from the start. But I'm not here to discuss personal reasons and what broke college students should drive, just looking for some help.

Thanks...
