Wheel choice
Has anyone ever measured to see just how much more inboard room you can use up before hitting the struts in the front? I've found some wheels that really look nice, but the least offset offered is 35mm and stock's only 10mm. Would that extra inch or so justify a spacer?

For the 87-89, you can run a little larger backspacing, but I wouldn't go more than 1/2 larger for a good safety margine.

Wheels I'm looking at only have another 9/10 of an inch so I think I'm safe. (4" total)
