New Illumina suspension - Problems
I have been away for quite some time. I just recently had my shocks/struts and springs replaced. I had this done by Meineke. Now after they had it replaced, I got my car back and it looked lower in the front than the rear. On the drive home, my suspension was making a loud noise in the back when going over bumps, sounded like something was loose. When I get home, I pull my rear speakers out to check the settings on the shocks, all were set to 5. (Now I didn't get the book back, so I am assuming 1 is softest and 5 is firmest.) Also the cover that has the numbers on one of the shocks was missing. I am going to call Tokico and see if I can order those parts by phone.
Now both on 1 and 5 settings, the car has the same problem. I am hoping that this is not due to defective shocks, thats why I ws wondering if anyone here may know what else it could be. Right now Meineke is looking at the car again, and I did visually verify that the springs were installed also. Now is it possible that the springs could of been installed upside down in either the front or rear, and if that is a possiblity, could that be the problem. I am just curious, because I do not want to get screwed over on this.
Thanks

well, your first mistake was letting Meineke do this simple task in the first place. Now you have to deal with all the bull **** of them argueing over parts that were there and aren't now.
It doesn't matter what way springs are installed.
Your problems are due to idiot installers, not defective shocks.

Figures
Figures. I needed it done, and I did't trust myself to do it.
Anyways, the guy called me and said it was my driveshaft, or drive train, I can't remember what he said (My brain is too fried from work.) They are sending it out to be checked out for free. If it gets to a point where I get too pissed off, I am going to have my car towed to Nissan and have it fixed professionally.
Damn me for trying to save money.
Thanks AZ. you cut straight to the point. Now I must go and find what to sell on E-Bay for money.
