350Z wheels

Hi guys. This is first time submit my message.
I have 86ZX, just bought about 2 weeks ago.
My Z have normal wheels.
So, I want to change them to others made by NISSAN
like350Z, MAXIMA and ALTIMA have.

Wheel size is maybe 6.5J-17'
I tried to figure out, but I still be confused.
I dont understand the meaning of wheel sizes about 100×5 or something like that.

so, Do you guys think that 86Z can have
these wheels or somebody already did it?
Please tell me.

Thank you.

With the proper adaptors, they're over 300 wheels available for your z31.

Check this link and have fun...

Hmm...if you REALLY want to use factory wheels made by Nissan, it's possible but may be more trouble than it's worth. That's because unless your '86 Z is a turbo, it uses 4X114.3 rims (# of lugs and the distance between lugs) while the '84-'86 turbo model, the '87-'96 Z's, the 350Z's, and the new Maxima's and Altima's all uses 5X114.3 rims.

Again, if your '86 Z is turbo, than no problem! But if it's normally aspirated...

I've seen it done on regular Integra's that want to use Type-R rims, but unless you plan on changing the whole spindle into a 5-lug for your Z, you should probably consider getting some 4-lug aftermarket rims instead. JohnZboy has a good link that you should check out, or this one if you REALLY want Nissan or other factory rims that may fit your Z:

My 86Z is non-turbo model.
but...it has 5 lugs.
so, it means,,,? uhn?
The word "lugs" means "bolts of wheel"
right?
So, is my 86Z still able to have wheels sized 5X114.3?

Thank you.

Here's an even better link to the information you requested...

Same stuff I directed you to yesterday, just a newer version. I think you'll find it very useful in your quest...

Hey johnZboy,

Nice link with very helpful information, and it certainly cleared up that whole '86 N/A 5-lug matter. And I see in your guestbook that others have asked you that same question in the past! I think a lot of people, even businesses, didn't realize that the '86 N/A came with 5X114.3. Thanks for clearing that up...

Awesome pic of your Z with those new rims! What did you do with your Z32 rims? If you still have 'em, maybe you could sell 'em to aniking.

If you are still looking for those rims, you could probably find them much cheaper on eBay...even new! It may take a little patience though. Here's one to start you off on your search:
