Some guy is selling an 84 z31 and he wants a grand for it which is more than what I paid for my running one, but I'm just wondering if I can use the quarter panels and some of the interior and other pieces for my 86 z? I wont be using the engine (for now at least) and I dont even know if its running. But yeah just wondering if his z will work for mine?

I am by no means an expert, but from all i have seen and read the 84-86 are virtually the same body, I know the 87 body changed a little. As far as interior and engine parts, etc I think the 84-89 are generally compatible.

the 84 na had four lug wheels. after that pretty much the same. the 87,88,89 had changes each year. if you are just looking for interior and body parts you are probably good but a grand is a bit much for a non runner n/a.

I actually got it for $400! And the engine started up with a fresh battery, now all I need to do is swap my vg30et into it
